WELCOME!

What’s Going On Here follows the continuing development of a new community building in Stanwood’s Historic West End.

Located along the historic brick roadway of 270th Street NW—formerly Main Street—the project is transforming a vacant property into a lasting community resource while honoring the neighborhood’s unique history and character.

This website documents the project’s progress through photographs, construction updates, planning milestones, and observations from the site. As the building takes shape, visitors can follow each stage of its development from the engineered preload to the completed community building.

Along the way, the website also explores the people, places, businesses, and stories that helped shape Stanwood’s Historic West End. Historical photographs, newspaper discoveries, maps, and other features will continue to be added as research progresses.

Whether you’re interested in the project’s development, local history, or simply curious about what’s happening here, we hope you’ll visit often and follow the journey.

Comments from readers are always welcome.
